XL Hunter
This knife is a beast! If you are looking for something that will crack the sternum of a moose, I think this knife would do it.
Hand forged from an end cut of a low layer Damascus billet, this knife and its pattern are one of a kind.
Measuring in at 11 inches overall with a 5 1/2" cutting edge.
The spine thickness is 5.95mm thick at its thickest point, making this knife stout and capable of some seriously heavy duty work.
This knife is a through tang construction, peened on the butt end just like the good old days before epoxy was invented. I will repeat that for clarification... No epoxy was used in this build... just tight fitting components and the through tang is peened over on its end. I assure you, this knife will not come apart. The handle will break before it is possible for it to come apart. This method is incredibly strong. There is a reason they did it this way for thousands of years before epoxy was around.
The handle is a breathtaking piece of stabilized maple burl.
The textured guard is brass, with a darkened patina.
There is a matching recessed brass washer on the butt where the tang is peened.
Right handed vertical carry sheath made from the finest 8-9 oz. Wicket and Craig veg tanned leather.
Tooled with a Barry King geometric stamp, dyed with an airbrush fade, and hand stitched with Ritza tiger thread.
