Wrought Iron Bowie
This big bowie is bad to the bone! A razor sharp convex recurve cutting edge with flat grinds, false edge clip point, and a clean crisp fuller. It is very well balanced, and is much lighter than you would expect for a blade of this size.
This awesome bowie measures 15 inches overall with an 8 3/4" cutting edge.
The stag handle melts into your hand and feels amazing. Its a blade that is sure to stand out in a crowd.
This is a full take down, through tang construction. ZERO epoxy was used with this build, just quality construction with extremely tight fit ups.
The blade is a wrought iron go-mai sourced from Baker Forge and Tool. It features wrought iron cladding, nickel shims, and a low layer damascus core.
The guard is wrought iron - sourced from an antique wagon wheel rim.
The stag handle is Sambar, and is a corrected crown sourced from Spencer Aplin.
The hand filed guard spacer is matching to the blade steel.
The tang nut is wrought iron and was completely hand made - no lathe.
The sheath is all hand made using the finest 8-10 oz Wickett and Craig veg tanned leather. Right hand vertical carry - with frog. Hand drawn, hand cut, hand tooled, hand stitched, etc... no fancy machines, just the work of my own two hands.
